Unless GGG can get Shenghe to divest, I dont think there getting a ML anytime soon
What substantiation do you have for this? No offence but this is comment is a bit dull as its so far off the mark. Of which reminds me of someone else.
GoG has many times invited Chinese ownership into businesses in Greenland. Travelled to China with such invites too.
Greenland approve their MLs. Not the US. No matter the donation. If you want to show otherwise. Then please do. But an article on an old military base wont do this. Ive only found articles supporting or neutral at best at the Chinese involvement.
They DO NOT want to send the stuff to China for processing. But they are via Shenghe straight from MP on US soil. How does that paradox exist?
What I think you might be trying to say is the US want to control the processing of REEs for military purposes?
If they try do it for commercial purposes what difference will the US be in comparison to the last two times it was tried and the Chinese undercut them until they were out of business. The situation continues to look similar now.
If that storey hasnt changed. Then how has that storey changed.
Why is the US going to supply its entire commercial sector and go out of business cause imports from other companies are cheaper to buy? Why would the US go through all this lesson a third time when the fundamentals still havent changed.
Then you have the problem with finishing the REE magnets after separation. Its not just separation thats required. Again the US cant compete in technology or cost. So what again can change here too?
If what you say has any weight via the US effecting ML outcome. Then 11% ownership via Shnghe wont deter them. It didnt in MP did it? It doesnt with FIRB?
The US could lodge an offer now. But they havent. So the theory doesnt hold much worth when you look at the US taking the current opportunity up.
At least, maybe the US may show interest post ML. Where Shenghe has registered some interest too. Which means there will be some fighting on GGGs hands when it comes to approval and no doubt taking the bettered deal will be on the cards or in fact supply both at once.
Then again we are looking at a private company. Not a state run one in China. More differences again as an international company with a Chinese registry is very different from one thats state controlled.
Remember this is a private company. In the end they get the say in what deal theyd like to take. (clearly as seen in the MP partnership as I doubt the US would have allowed a state run entity in there but Shenghe they had no issue with)Start writing...1XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0/0SymbolSentiment* (required)Position*Posting GuidelinestickCreated with Sketch.Do
