Even though the sidewall core plus are small and less representative of native state compared to taking plugs from whole core, I believe it would be worthwhile asking the core analysis service company to CT scan the plugs, which should in theory identify the extent of barite plugging inside the pore space, and it would enable a better understanding of the rock fabric and pore size distribution. It would also be marvellous if they could apply AI techniques and compare with analogue core data and other means to derive an estimated range for porosity and permeability.
