LONDON, Aug 03, 2009 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- FTGZF | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- Forte Energy NL (FTE.AU), a uranium and copper explorer listed on the ASX and AIM, with a portfolio of emerging projects in West Africa and Australia, said Monday there is excellent potential for resource increases at the uranium exploration in Guinea, with the deposit remaining open along strike and at depth.
MAIN FACTS:

-The maiden JORC resource estimate at Guinea is 17.7Mt at 296pm U3O8 for 11.6Mlbs of contained U3O8 (100pm cut-off) announced for Firawa Project.

-Guinea results awaited for additional density testing which may lead to a resource increase by using a higher density than the 2.2t/m3 figure used for the initial calculation.

-Excellent potential for resource increases at Guinea with the deposit remaining open along strike and at depth.

-6,000 meter diamond drilling programme started at the uranium exploration in Mauritania August at Bir En Nar aimed at delineating an initial JORC compliant uranium resource.

-RC drilling programme of around 2,000 meters at Mauritania is being planned for later this year at several identified targets at Bir Moghrein following completion of geophysical ground surveys.
