just like a bank,,, when someone defults on a payment for their home loan the bank has options. importantly times like this they certainly wont be wanting to repo/force sales of peoples homes, not just to help their books but also to avoid crashing the housing market.
Apt will defiently be applying all options before writing off a customer as a bad debt. they can delay payments for many months and would really only write of the bad debts for those wishing to cancel their account. otherwise they will leave their account standing and collect at a later date.
i think people forget some of the biggest winners of the GFC were places like cash converters., low income, job losses. people will go to extremes to get smaller amounts of cash, afterpays average debts can be paid of with each govt stimulas so the average user can keep their line of credit open.
there will be some winners in the fallout of covd19,, i predict APT will rise above the ashes.
i concede it is being taken to the cleaners right now and risk mitigation has its part to play,, but for belivers this sp is a wet dream come true!
