Hartleys talk up company's to try and run their cap raises, which they did for years in the early days. Their clients probably still hold a lot so they have to put some effort in to keep their clients off their back.
Re Menzies, don't know that he had any option but to do what he was likely directed to do. His mob were in a bad place and decided to try and screw us rather than play nice. I would like to think that he was embarrassed by what he had to do. Probably says something about the decent relationship he had with the board / management and imo it is actually very positive that he is back.
