The sun's activity is rated High. There are a number of large sunspots facing the Earth. That have the potential to produce High energy CMEs. One CME Rated M5 is projected to reach the Earth Aug 9-10th. This approaching CME is expected to cause communication blackouts in the areas of Earth it hits directly.
Its possible that Iran may be coordinating it response with a possible CME. Which if large enough will disrupt communications and cause blackouts of Satellite ballistic missile launch detection in the Mid East.
Imagine the panic caused in Israel if US satellites protecting them go down and Iran can launch undetected.
