Trump is due to impose 25% tariffs on both Canada and Mexico on February 1.
Both are large silver producers and uncertainty from these tariffs could definitely create a big silver deficit. Of course he could cancel this promise in the next week, but what happens if he follows through...
- In 2023, Mexico produced approximately 6,400 metric tons of silver
- In 2021, Canada produced approximately 325 metric tons of silver
