NEU released an announcement on 20/11/2023 in relation to the media speculation regarding buyer interest. Jon confirmed a strategic advisor was appointed "seveal months ago". Their role is to advise us on corporate transactions and strategy, not licensing transactions. I would take several months to mean approx 5-7 months meaning the appointment was around mid-year 2023. NEU announcements during that time:
28/09- Neuren opens first site in US for PW P2 trial
30/06- Neuren completed enrolment in PM
14/07- Neuren and Acadia expand global partnership for trofinetide
At the same time NEU opened their PW trial (which Acadia are also targeting) and Acadia and NEU further strengthen their partnership via a global partnership a strategic advisor was appointed. In Jons recent presentation during the Q & A it was asked (53.24 mark) "Any interest from external parties in aquiring NNZ2591?" Jon- "we have had alot on interest in it, which we have batted away during our trofinetide partnering process so i expect their will be interest"
Given the interest in NNZ-2591 goes back along way (trof partnering days) i wonder if the above announcements triggered a FOMO for BP hence the appointment.
