Well one things for sure, there's a 100k bbl per day refinery going cheap...
Any parts of that refinery be useful in a scaled up UCG plant ? I would have thought yes... but currently not in a position to capitalise on it due to Cash Flow...
Mobil refinery closed here in 2003.
Site has now become a desal plant - so no chance of it being re-opened.
You raise some very valid points re-national security...
Don't know of too many LPG powered destroyers, tanks and planes...
National defence spending is now the lowest per capita since the 30's depression and it would appear the projects in the pipeline like the F35 and Leaking Bucket Subs are just a waste of money anyway...
Bring in National Service IMO + Compusary National Service of 2 to 3 years for all Refo's and Immi's.
There I've said it now... surely some greenie will put me in my place in 3,2,1....
