The buying action is small so imo was not related to leaky ship. Just punters seeing the 30/6 deadline. If a leaky ship, any volume below 7.0 would have been taken out or conversely seen big dumps.

I was anticipating an extension of the agreement or was hoping for one. An extension would Point toward BG intent to buy still strong just needs time to tick boxes. I would have loaded the truck on Monday on that announcement. Instead we get this, which IMO highlights more risks now. My money is now on the terms have changed and would require SH approval.

My guess would be part capital return and part special dividend. Cap return will benefit most long term holders, that’s likely to be dependent on your buy price and/or how long you have held the shares for.
