    There are heaps, you'll find plenty others.

    Trading halts are technically not optional. Companies must request a trading halt if they have material news that they cannot release within a reasonable timeframe (usually hours, max one day) at the time they receive that news. The TH gives them time to finalise details and prep the announcement, while protecting against leaks.
