Well, CTP have stated that the available data did not originally show much in the way of "potential", however recent analysis has indicated that earlier work/conclusions may have had it wrong. The newly discovered fault line (Hector) and a reinterpretation of the siesmic data has given ppl cause to rethink what is out there in the desert.

Now they are about to find out. If the new analysis is borne out, then the rewards are going to be nothing short of spectacular. On the other hand, if they find little or nothing, then obviously we've done our money.

Searching for oil is a high risk business and those that invest in it know this and go into it with their eyes open. ppl with no vision (and/or cash) don't usually and don't bother until, of course, after success has been announced. By which time they miss out on the "big bucks".

BTW, the independent study/report classifies the chances of success as "high", so if only a 10% chance (or 30% as someone in HC suggested) it is risky of course, but in these circumstances, quite good odds - given the potential return.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion, but I totally disagree with you and feel ppl should do their own research, rather than taking any notice of FUD posts.
