BIT's central business is its HIV research - been central for 20 years.

COVID research was almost a reaction to the pandemic and BIT decided to try its hand almost as a speculative venture.

Holding hopes out that the COVID results will save the day seems almost a desperate hope rather than anything logical. Lots of companies are in that crowded space.

BIT does have potential to be in the general ant-viral sector and I suspect there will be future moves by the company to try and position BIT225 in that sector.

COVD results are a side show and I suspect will not change the situation at all. That is sort of backed up by BIT prioritising the HIV results and putting the COVID results on the back burner. If the early indications that the COVID trials had shown huge promise, BIT would have pushed ahead with these.

No, the delays are not due to any negotiations with BP. No, NDA's are not the reason for any delays in announcing results. Anyone who still insists that this is the case has ceased thinking logically.

HIV can still be the game changer - though the Trial results don't seem to have impressed BP at the moment.
