The primary liquid is kept at pressure sufficient to maintain a liquid state and prevent flashing occuring.
It is certainly contained in a closed loop circuit with no release to the environment.
Radon gas concerns have been dealt with long ago. Yes, there is some of this picked up in the reservoir water. Very low level but not open to the environment at any stage in the process. A burst pipe or leak would be of no consequence we have been told.
Corrosion has not been cited aa a real concern either.
Scaling of the well bore and topside piping has been aired. Analysis of the waters have shown that there will be some scale build up over time but was not considered a
real concern.
Actually, I am not sure where this recent concern of there being any need to have to have coolers for the primary fluid started. I think it may have been from confusion from the discussion on cooler/condensers for the secondary, turbine loop liquid.
