This subject of how to most efficiently cool the condensates from the turbines is 'generating' some interest as we await GDY's next progress report.
Some good thinking is being applied. Great.
I must say I have always been struck by the large number of cooling modules lined up about the schematic diagrams
we see in reports etc.
(see P3. of latest Qly. Report just received. There is about 120 modules shown for the 50MW plant.)
It seems a little like the icons for trees & shrubs that architects like to dot about their design drawings.
I suspect there is a bit more logic to it than that.
What would be nice is some sort of Heat Flow diagram with values given on volume/pressure & temperatures of condensate being handled/ hour from the turbines to process it to a suitable condition for passing back through the system again.
How much heat has to be removed to achieve this?
We could then ponder if other uses could be made of the heat rather than simply dispersing it to atmosphere.
It needs to be economical of course.
Can anyone specify this properly?
It might not hurt to just ask GDY for the info.
