Why are electricity bills increasing?
In recent years, electricity bills in Queensland have risen significantly. The main reason for this is the
increase in how much it costs to transport electricity. Figure 1 shows the make-up of expected costs
of supplying a typical residential customer during 2013-14.
Just remember the figures quoted for price rises are also gst exclusive.So the rise will alos have to have the gst added to get the real rise in dollar terms .
Just add ten percent to anything that rises and you soon get the picture of why everything goes up so quickly .
The 79% increase in access charge also has to have the gst added.
Gold plating anyone?
