    I did some calculations and they might be wrong so feel free to check them.

    I think you will find the subsidy for 2019 worked out at $524,795 per wind turbine. $1.09 billion for 2077 of them in Australia. Wind accounted for 8.1% of the total energy output in 2019 which works out at 67million kW per turbine per year and 0.783 cents per kW.

    That seems very reasonable to encourage new generation, especially since the subsidies are falling rapidly with many new wind farms getting zero in subsidies.

    Don't forget that the government is currently throwing $billions of our money at coal and gas to prop them up as they become financially unviable.
