nkp presentation ... igc implications...

On NKP announcement yesterday was its latest company presentation

If you go to page 12/19 there are 2 very interesting points:

1) JORC resources Upgrade- June 2008
2) Selection of Strategic Partner- June/July 2008

The first one surely must be the Southern reefs that IGC is involved in. Or its both NKP's northern reefs which they have 74% interest in and the Souther reefs that they have a 59% farm in interest.

In terms of NKP's disclosure of a "strategic partner"...since IGC has the operating rights on the 3 Southern Farms then how would they get a strategic partner.

In the Bushveld region the other active player is AngloPlatinum. If its indeed an Anglo that is to be NKP's strategic partner (think of all the synergy Anglo would get)... or if its another big player such as Xstrata ... surely they would not be a strategic partner unless they have the operating and hence mining rights.

This could be evidence that implies indirectly IGC will need to be taken out or someone needs to do a deal with IGC where they relinquish their operating rights on the area. Since IGC has only 15% interest then a takeover seems more likely. The only other option is to pay a royalty on production? (I highly doubt this one).

This is the first sign that supports a possible takeover of IGC.

All the posts from Wall Fly and others in the past month claiming rumours of a big corporate move...to me this is the first evidence publicy disclosed that I see as being substantial to these claims.

I will call the company ASAP and clarify again the operational rights issue ... to me this is the key to any possible corporate move.

If IGC is indeed in this position then I would have to give their management and advisors plenty of credit for this strategic positioning.

I am excited by this... I could not get any IGC today cause the market is closed when I finished reading it.

May have to go back in above 40cents rather mid 30s that I am waiting for

At least to me now its an eduacated gamble rather than a gamble on rumours
