If franking credits are unfair payments given to self funded retirees then i think if it is abolished we should be given an aged pension instead like NZ UK and USA and other countries and be taxed on the final amount. Be nice for my wife to to have been able to get $ 6 scripts on pain medicine for cancer and other treatments instead of paying full dollar plus all the other freebies pensioners get. Remember we are in the position we are because we worked hard and paid a lot of taxes and never in 73 yrs received one centerlink payment for ourselves or our kids and no home building grants as well and paid between 14 to 21% interest on our loans.
