ah, duh, of course they are.... their goal is to reach peak coal by 2026, 5 years... that means that they are still building more.... then after 2026 they will build less. really frickin simple.
By 2030 almost no new coal plants will be built globally
After 2030 coal will start a steep decline in price, only the cheapest mines will survive.
Australia will shut down all coal by 2050, most other countries will be much quicker
After 2050 it will be minuscule for power, steel will be quickly moving away to electric and hydrogen.
Go enjoy your coal, but I'd prefer to be part of the solution not the problem
