I said "we need more", meaning more than the current energy transition solution. My general thinking is that we need to stop burning fossil fuels faster, and not wait for renewables to be ready to replace them. It's more energy austerity rather than energy transition. By my way of thinking denialism is doing nothing, and the energy transition is doing 20% of what we need to do, so it's 80% nothing. I think we need to reduce the percentage of doing nothing in our current plan.

I'm a doomist in that I expect terrible disasters, but I still think we should strive to do as much as possible to make those disasters less horrifying. I also think we need more adaptation mixed in with the mitigation.
