Hi Wes,
I think this speculative takeover idea has potential merit for numerous reasons.
My thoughts...
* Nabra is a start up company with enourmous potential. See here what differentiates them from other companies in the space. A good read.
https://www.nabrawind.com/decommissioning-process-nabralift/
* Funds are going to required on an ongoing basis to meet significant demand with the transition to green renewable energy taking place before our eyes. A start up will require ongoing funds to take the business to the next level.
* Just like the Liebherr and WAE, Fortescue would be able to provide a real world example on just how solar and wind power technologies will enhance their mining operations and benefit the world at large.
* A take over would provide an enormous opportunity not only for their mining operations but the transition to zero solutions for their outside projects and for companies worldwide looking to move fast to real zero.
* The two companies are very much aligned.
* Plus in the long run, I think a takeover would cost them less.
* This is Fortescue’s actual decarbonisation plan works:
https://www.genus.com.au/projects/fortescue-decarbonisation-plan-works
* Here's are Fortescue's plans over the next 2-3 years for their Stationary Power which is 13% of their FY23 Scope 1 emissions...
Next 12 months (which is already underway):
- 100MW North Star Junction Solar Farm completed.
- Demand response trials commence on site.
- Feasibility studies for proposed wind and solar generations sites progress.
Next 2-3 years:
- Pilbara Energy Connect: connection of Eliwana, Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek transmission lines to connect all their Pilbara mining operations into their renewable energy power system.
- Feasibility studies for proposed wind and solar generations sites complete.
2027 is what Fortescue have planned for Wind Construction.
"At Fortescue we aim to develop wind energy resources to support the establishment of green energy and green product industries around the world."
