Posted on this a while back. In 2021 Fortescue acquired a 60% stake in Hyet Solar. What had been proposed at the time was that Fortescue was going to begin designs for a 1GW Powerfoil solar factory in Australia, proposed for construction in Gladstone, Queensland. but we haven't heard anything on this front since. In 2022 the company participated in another round of funding with Dutch investment fund Teslin Participates for an undisclosed amount of new capital. Fortescue own a majority stake in the company. Another important point worth highlighting is that Teslin (at the time) mentioned that with the accelerated rollout they were hoping to achieve that a potential listing on Euronext Amsterdam in a few years could be on the cards.
