The wording that Fortescue used on page 4 of the presentation titled "Going on Offense: Transforming hard to abate sectors" below is interesting.
The technology group accelerating commercial decarbonisation through heavy industry, rapidly, profitably and globally

Fortescue Zero emission drive trains will power 350 new Liebherr trucks
70 large Fortescue powered cable electric diggers
60 high power Fortescue 6MW fast chargers
60 high powered Fortescue battery electric drills
50 Fortescue powered battery electric graders
50 Fortescue powered battery electric water carts
1000 Fortescue cell powered light vehicles and their charging network
By 2030, 70 diesel locomotives will be replaced with a Fortescue powered zero-emissions fleet
The first green ammonia powered vessel, the Fortescue Green Pioneer, is already operational
The Green Pioneer technology will be applied to decarbonisse Fortescue's 80 ships
All this for a cost of US$1.3bn between now and 2030 with most of the spend in the next 4 years.
This is why I keep banging on about the Liebherr partnership and the potential offsetting of this spend as they scale up this technology to other heavy haul customers. I reckon BHP could potentially be one of them.
