How has the partnership evolved over the course of two years?

1. On the 15/06/22 - Fortescue and Liebherr announced a partnership for the development and supply of green mining haul trucks.

2. On the 13/01/23 - Fortescue welcomed the arrival of Australia’s first prototype battery system designed for a zero emission battery electric mining haul truck.

3. On the 14/12/23 - Fortescue deployed Australia’s first operational electric excavator.

4. On the 22/03/24 - Fortescue’s first operational electric excavator reached one million tonne milestone.

5. On the 23/05/24 - Fortescue’s hydrogen-powered haul truck prototype drove on hydrogen for the first time.

6. On 02/07/24 - Fortescue and Liebherr announced a partnership to jointly develop Autonomous Haulage Solution.

These are the new products developed and prototyped. Bit more testing to complete, but a few are almost ready now.

* The T 264 zero emission battery electric mining haul truck.

* The T 264 zero emission hydrogen-powered haul truck prototype.

* The R 9400 E operational electric excavator.

* A fully integrated zero emissionn Autonomous Haulage Solution (AHS), developed, tested and validated in the T 264 truck. First of a kind globally.

Liebherr/Fortescue are expanding their lineup of zero emission mining equipment and do not look to be slowing down either. Once the Liebherr/Fortecue range have been completely validated, there's no reason why their technology won't be integrated across many of their other heavy equipment.
