I have an upbeat but cautious outlook on FMG.
Cautious because of global geopolitical risks well outside the control of management.
Trump 2.0 would almost certainly put Biden's Inflation Reduction Act at considerable risk of being dismantled … as we know, the IRA has been a real driver in global efforts to develop green hydrogen.
Trump 2.0 would likely again have the US withdraw from NATO and embolden the likes of Putin and Xi.
Trade wars spinning out of Trump’s promised import tarrifs would likely add 1.0-1.3% to US inflation, meaning more Fed rate increases and the sump being opened on share markets.
A new Labour Government with a strong socialist leader has me concerned about an already moribund UK economy.
Political states around the world zigging to the left and zagging to the right does not auger well for global political stability.
Besides that, it’s all good lol.
