A demonstration plant which has not been built yet. 1500 tonnes production volume, compared to the annual production of over 100 million tonnes of iron ore. After it's built it needs to be scaled, it needs to be financially viable. This is not what I mean by "up and running". It's a pilot. Until it's built, it's a promise of a pilot.
I'm not saying it's bad, I'm not saying it's impossible. It's as real as you say it is, but to me it seems to fall short by a very long way of the scale and the time frame needed for meaningful climate action.
