I understand your opinion. Mike. Im sure your feelings will be shared by many other investors, but I beg to differ.... I'm a natural born contrarian!

An innovative, successful organisation like Fortescue should be able to thrive in establishing cutting edge, developing industries without government handouts. Government handouts leads to sloppy, addicted to sucking on the government teat.

"Necessity is the mother of invention". Such self-confidence fosters a more independent, efficient, successful operator unbridled from government largesse. We can do it. I don't subscribe to the theory that just because something has been done in a certain way before , that's a justification for future actions.

I base my opinions on my observations of others and personal experience. Whichever paths are followed Irish one, Im sure we share a communality in our desired outcomes. Happy investing, wes
