Thanks for posting. I too recently stumbled across this thread.
I see value in triangulation of ideas and narrative on any given issue. The Atlantic article was interesting and I am not someone who regards that magazine as credible.
I have learned that well crafted documents need to be treated with scepticism. When hiring engineers I was very sceptical about those with beautifully produced CVs. There seemed to be a negative correlation between the effort put into the CV and the individuals usefulness in my business.
Now retired I take a similar cautionary approach.
