Project timeline

The project is still in an early phase. A number of work streams are underway with a plan to start construction in 2025, ahead of the potential start of operations in 2027. These timelines are dependent on a positive final investment decision from Fortescue’s board, which will require further technical planning and regulatory approvals from the Norwegian authorities.

green ammonia is now $1000/t. @225,000 tonnes
grey and blue is $500-550.
(hydrogen is ~$10/kg @40,000,000kg)

Not bad for a phase 1 of project?

costs:300MW, unfortunately this is the unknown, we've signed a PPA, but at what cost. You're right. Needs to be about $1/mwh to be sustainable, which seems impossible.
unless we're also selling $400 million of hydrogen. Few unknowns still.

For them to be moving ahead of schedule on the project they've obviously got the offtakers ready you would think?
