Here is the way I see it.......................
- Since 1992 China sees Renewable Energy as the key to undermine western industrial policy.
- China (with no elections) pursued this insight
- China is now No1 (by a long way) already in Solar Panels, Batteries and EVS
- Building access to critical renewable energy minerals (Nickel, Copper, Lithium and Cobalt)
- China sees the West as polarized and pursuing short termed outcomes................I see only Mr Forrest with a longer term strategy
- China sees Africa as the region in which it wants to exercise SOFT POWER.......France, UK, USA etc on the nose and Russia greatly weakened
- The Belt & Road initiative is in operation since 2013.....with COVID interruption
- The Chinese are using their own labour to build these projects
- The Africans are tired of the West expecting them to back Ukraine
- The Industrial revolution Mark 2 may very well be OUT OF AFRICA with a Chinese Engine
