Not only, Nuto, massive diesel cost savings, but one word that has been consistently overlooked in the 360 ev Roadrunner trucks description is the word "autonomous".
That represents massive labour cost savings. In one of the interviews with media last week, Twiggy pointed out that there were no cabins on the trucks Obviously I feel sorry for displced workers, but I've also read that it's Fortescue's intentions to deploy them in the multitude of jobs being created by transition to zero carbon emissions 2030.
I'm not sure if the excavators and dozens are similarly autonomous, does anyone know? Tony?If they can develop autonomous 230 ton haul trucks, I suspect that all equipment could be fitted with the same technology.
