[Increasingly, I feel like I'm interacting with a parody account, because it is hard to contemplate a more one-eyed view of an objectively flawed situation.]
"Adventurism" connotes some sort of potential for pleasant surprise or a favourable outcome a the end of said adventure.
But when someone willingly spends shareholder money on something that is known to not be feasible or worthwhile, that's not "adventure", nor is it "innovative".
Rather, it's a frivolous waste of shareholder capital.
A waste of shareholder capital that somehow gets endorsed, by persons who see only the Emperor walking around wearing finest silks.
Like I say, the stuff to amaze.
