[Hoo boy. I'm discussing industrial gas engineering concepts with someone who doesn't know the slightest thing about industrial gas engineering.]

"There are companies like plug power and Pure hydrogen that aren't far from completing large distribution hubs for transport vehicles. "

It is increasingly clear that you simply google stuff and then post about it without even properly understanding the subject, or even reading it properly. In this latest post there is no part of that attachment that makes any reference to "large distribution hubs".

Also, so now we're suddenly talking about liquid hydrogen.
As if liquid hydrogen was in some way automatically interchangeable with hydrogen gas
(Because they both contain the word hydrogen, I suppose, might be the logic. Too funny.)

If we thought the logistics of hydrogen gas was difficult enough, how the heck will we deal with liquid hydrogen on mass commercial scale, given liquid hydrogen has to be kept below minus 250 degrees Celsius at standard atmospheric pressure and minus 235 degrees Celsius at 50 atmospheres (5,000 kPa)?

Not just that, but we're talking about liquid nitrogen that arises as by-product in a chlor-alkali plant.

Do the basic maths: At the whopping rate of 15 tonnes/day (~5,500 tonnes/year) produced by the plant you are referencing, each 1% increase in global hydrogen production would require more than 180 chlor-alkali plants to be built. For context, there are only around 60 chlor-alkali plants situated in the whole of Europe.

So just to add a mere 1% to global hydrogen via chlor-alkali plants would require an additional 3 times existing European capacity.

    For just a 1% increase.
    Laughable.

(And all that is even before remembering how devilishly expensive the handling of liquid nitrogen is.)
