My understanding, jb and Mick O'Irish, is that our green hydrogen production is likely to occur in Holmansett, Norway and Pecem, Brazil. In Australia my understanding is that it's currently uneconomic due to prohibitive electricity costs. There, however, is interest in Australia in white (mined) hydrogen and yellow (photocatalytic) hydrogen, involving Sparc Technologies, Fortescue and the University of Adelaide.

Whatever, if we are to achieve our stated goal of transitioning our cargo ship fleet to ammonia hybrid vessels, we will obviously need a hydrogen source somewhere.

My main focus is on our efforts to decarbonise our Iron ore mining operations which is progressing......however due to logistical challenges, hydrogen seems to be perpetually off with the pixies!.....maybe if our massive solar and wind farms adjacent to our mines have excess electricity, it could be used to produce green hydrogen.

Cheers gentlemen, Wesley T Tiger III
