China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has been researching green hydrogen for decades and hasn't succeeded to find any feasible method, would assume they have much better tech capability but green hydrogen seems to be the wrong path. There are great spots to build solar farms and possibly transmit the electricity through submarine power cables if green hydrogen is not feasible.
