    In 2008 Harvard Press produced a book titled "The Discovery of Global Warming". This book describes how in 1896 Svante Arrhenius postulated that atmospheric carbon in the form of CO2 was influencing the climate and that the burning of fossil fuels would add more carbon to the atmosphere thereby warming the climate.
    This is beyond contention.
    It's not ideology, it's established science."


    So now we are at the point which we are rolling out the utterances of 19th Century, supposed soothsayers/clairvoyants as some sort of substantive evidence of climate change due to carbon emissions?

    And then defining that as "established science"?
    Give us a break.
