1. Sinopec (world's largest oil company) China's state-controlled Sinopec (600028.SS) has started the construction of a 3 billion yuan ($470 million) green hydrogen plant, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 tonnes, in Kuqa city in the country's northwestern region of Xinjiang.
2. PetroChina (worlds 2nd largest oil company) PetroChina has 5,500 kg/day hydrogen refilling capacity at Winter Olympics' site in BeijingPetroChina's hydrogen output capacity at 2.6 mil mt/year. The outlets can refill nearly one thousand hydrogen-fueled vehicles per day that can run 2 million km. China's hydrogen-fueled vehicles are mainly used in the public transportation sector.
3. Aramco (3rd largest) Saudi Aramco has laid out plans to produce hydrogen-powered vehicles. Targeting hydrogen production — both blue and green — of 2.9mn t/yr by 2030 and 4mn t/yr by 2035
4. Shell ( 4th ) . Multiple green hydrogen projects in England, China, Netherlands, Australia
5. BP (5th) - Some partnership with Macquarie. Multiple hydrogen projects in Australia, England (1.5GW!!! )
6. Exxon Mobile (6th) - Mostly looking at Blue hydrogren. Major project in England: initial hydrogen production of around 4.3 TWh of hydrogen per year. !!!!
7. Total (7th) - Dedicated hydrogen division, many green projects in the works using solar and wind. France, Australia, Trucking company Hyzon
8. Chevron (8th) . CEO: “I am a believer that green hydrogen is going to have a big role to play” in the energy transition, Wirth said. Plans to invest over USD 10 billion (EUR 8.5bn) in lower-carbon businesses through 2028, more than triple its previous target of USD 3 billion The group will also aim to produce 150,000 tonnes of hydrogen per year for industrial, power and heavy duty transport use
