The firm forecasts the delivered cost of green hydrogen from Australia to north-east Asia could fall from a theoretical $US5-$US6 per kilogram in 2021, to about $US3/kg in 2030, and to about $US2/kg by 2050.The Middle East has a higher starting cost of $US6-$US7/kg in 2021 for the delivery of green hydrogen into north-east Asia, but also approaches $US2/kg by mid-century, as does South America, which starts from a lower cost base of about $US5/kg, including production, ammonia conversion and shipping costs.
