there is some irony in your proposition of turning H2 into CH4 to run it through an LNG plant to be able to ship it. Andxthen turn the CG4 back into H2 and do what with the liberated carbon when this happens?
That appears to be some kind of absurd Kafkaesque solution which would be wildly inefficient as well as wildly expensive.
CH4 becomes liquid (ie LNG) at -173 deg C.
If I have your comment incorrect and you mean liquid hydrogen, not LNG, then H2 needs to be chilled to virtually absolute zero C to become liquid.
