Thankyou Tony (as soon as I enter the words thankyou, the word Tony pops up, the z fold is a quick learner!) for the uplifting article and video. It's refreshing to see someone highlighting tech exponential change possibilities/probabilities. So many cost projections are predicated on existing technology. It's time for pollies and captains of industry to have the humility to admit they are ignorant of future quantum leaps of tech evolution. Therefore any future projections are fraught with uncertainty. Technology is not static.

Mate, talking of tech, couldn't super expensive iron ore train derailments be eliminated by having a drone, programmed to recognise any track anomalies, such as the heat-caused buckling that derailed our Fortescue train or debris on the tracks, to fly 2o kilometres ahead of the train and then send an immediate danger signal if any problems are detected to the train driver to hit the anchors? That would save so much money and time because you would only have to address the track problem as opposed to struggle to rescue a derailed train + track repair. Why do we still have massively expensive derailments when we have had the technology for many years to eliminate the problem? Does that make sense? Thanks again mate.
