Oh no, those figures from these past few months of operation cannot be extrapolated blindly out to the $13m cashflow figure. See below quick summary of price data back to October 2022 indicating how many intervals we have in each calendar month over $1000/MWh and $10000/MWh. The time period over which the battery has been operating has provided some of the most profitable intervals for electricity generators in the Queensland market.
If we take this current month for example which has a maximum 5-minute interval price of <$400 / MWh, then we have $283,133.44 discharge revenue with $63,832.98 charge cost over 23 days (admitedly we're 1 hour short of 23 days at the time I downloaded the data). Extrapolate this out and we're looking at $9,534.80 per day in cashflow compared to the $36,727.98 per day cashflow that we would get from the battery summer months operation.
With more batteries coming online in Queensland, the higher spiking price intervals will be further reduced. This summer was exceptional with heavy humidity on very hot days and peak electricity demand being broken on several occasions.
Oh no, those figures from these past few months of operation...
