GM Just take the insurance away from home buildings insurance for a giant tree on your property. If it falls on your house you pay. If your tree falls on a power line you pay. If it falls on you.....well. This will force home owners to trim or remove them. We have to have huge trees replaced with small trees shrubs ..gardens ...lawns etc All in the name of common sense. Already we pay higher premiums if our home is closer than 25 metres to any trees. Today there is still 4000 homes without power in Melbourne and when was that storm again????? Cheers
