Yes, I would - especially if the gold is at the bottom of the hole, rather than at the top of it.

1.1 They need gold production now.

1.2 If there is gold down there, how many km of decline do u think u would need to get there?
How long do u think it would take to see any of that gold ?
How many hundreds of millions do u think they would need to go down 1KM

2 - Spend a little bit more and make the power thing happen.

2.1 What happened to the planning?

2.2 Just do it, spend a little more money and energy in getting the job done. Even if the CEO has to camp out there.

2.3 Get a frigging generator up there as plan B, they are a dime a dozen at the major hire centres.
I doubt very much if BMA actually owned theirs, most mines I've been to hire them.

Just do it and stop coming up with excuses and red herrings.
