I saw adds in this mornings paper from Energy companies informing the public that the cost structure will be changing.
In about a month or so I think they said. I just happen to see two adds from different energy companies informing of the same thing.
In the next 6 months or so in Qld peoples cost of living is going rise significantly.
Increased cost of house insurance, car insurance, health insurance, rego in Qld, power increase of 20% and who knows how much for Gas and Electricity combined.
It is interesting to note that cost of housing was taken out of the CPI calculations way back.
Imagine if the cost of rent was included in the CPI and the cost of energy and all the other costs of living that are not included were included. I wonder what that would do to the CPI and the Inflation rate.
