On Sky business news today. Soaring energy prices, driven by growing gas exports are putting jobs at risk and' politics - driven energy policies' are making the situation worse, Australia's peak business lobby group has warned.
Energy pricing and reliability is becoming a key risk for Australian business, a new report from Australian Industry Group report says, with more than half of the 285 private sector CEOs surveyed saying they expect prices to rise this year.
The report, Energy Shock: No gas, no power, no future?
The whole transcript is worth a read.
This, one would think, would have to put pressure on the Govt. to get serious and stop pussy footing around this looming crisis. Bodes well for CTP and the gas industry in general. RC holding off signing any agreements. He obviously knows a lot more than we do, " keeping his powder dry".
Any comments? Does this make sense or not? Grateful for any feedback.
