This announcement does not directly involve ATQ or Tancoal at this time, as it is a separate agreement between NDC and the Chinese (HPPC).

Should a power station be built as a consequence of this agreement, it would almost certainly require coal from the Ngaka Coal Fields to operate, in which case it may become a future customer of Tancoal.

ATQ have recently completed a BFS on development of a 450Mw power station to be built at the Mbalawala Mine Site in the Ngaka Coal Field, with Tancoal supplying 1.5Mtpa to the power station over 25 years.
