I do believe this to be the case in some instances. However, Jay is the social media director for Mogul and would likely be in control of their FB account. He indicated on his AMA the other week that 'big things' were coming that he could not yet discuss. Also, he would require some knowledge to formulate a social media campaign. I agree though that most companies are unlikely to respond to investor queries over social media.
