Telecommunications provider PowerTel says it is on track to achieve its first ever net profit, excluding abnormal items, for the 2005/06 half-year.
PowerTel managing director Paul Broad said the company had achieved the milestone well ahead of its previous estimates.
“We are beginning to realise the benefits of strategic changes and tough decisions we made in 2005,” Mr Broad said.
The company also expects to achieve its first half revenue guidance of between $98 million and $101 million for the six months to June 30, 2006 and exceed the top of the earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) guidance range of between $15 million and $17 million.
