As for what this all means for broadband in Australia, Paul Budde has repeatedly said that broadband services will gain in their ascendancy in the coming years. On this, I agree with him. However, whilst I am not as overly confident about the future fortunes of players such as UEC, AMM and PWT, I am quite confident that some combination of these and /or other players will emerge during 2002 (and beyond) as a strong and vibrant telecommunciations alternative to the likes of Telstra and Optus.
